Bala Town reaches Nathaniel MG Cup
Bala Town have reached the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup for the first time since 2015.
They secured their place after winning 2-0 against last year’s runners-up Cardiff Met.
Captain Chris Venables put the Lakesiders in front in the first half as he managed to poke the ball home amid a goalmouth scramble, before the win was secured late on by former Wales international Dave Edwards who smashed home a half-volley on the edge of the box.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Connah’s Quay Nomads progressed past Taffs Well to reach their third successive final.
Bala Town FC v Connah's Quay Nomads are to play the Nathaniel MG League Cup Final on Saturday 28th January, KO 12:45
The game will be played at The Rock, Rock Road, Rhosymedre, Wrexham, LL14 3YG, the home of Cefn Druids FC.
